"Peace can only be the product of voluntary human interaction." I understand and appreciate your concept of peace, and the desire behind it, but the ONLY thing "voluntary human interaction" has ever or will ever bring about is WAR. Let's face it: Everyone born into this world is rotten to the core and selfish, and we all (including you, my naive friend) want our own way. (You want proof? Go to any daycare facility and watch. No one has to teach those little darlings to want-and-take rather, they need to be taught to share.) Eventually someone has the economic/political/military power and resources to try and take what they want on a national scale, and those from whom they would take fight back. That's war. But sometimes just the threat that someone would fight back is enough to make the would-be aggressor pause and ask, "Do I really want to take the risk?" That's called "deterence." It's like a big, mean dog that keeps most would-be burglars out of your yard. Most of us who advocate "Peace, the Old-Fashioned Way" do not believe in what you call "domination" but we're not so foolish as to believe that "Peace can only be the product of voluntary human interaction."

i was a fan of B-52s.but not anymore.I agree with the post above of Michael that "Peace can only be the product of voluntary human interaction." I think for developing their economical co-operative social relationships the product speaks clearly.

This "Peace...The Old Fashioned Way" logo outlines a B-52 Stratofortress, one-third of this nation's DEFENSIVE "triad" used during the Cold War, and one-half of Strategic Air Command's role in that triad. (The other half being strategic nuclear inter-continental ballistic missles, AKA ICBM's.) If you learn the history of SAC, you'll find that none of those manned B-52's were really expected to return if they ever launched. But it is only BECAUSE those B-52's, ICBM's, and SLBM's (Submarine Launched Ballistic Missles) stood poised, ready to strike at a moment's notice (the ICBM's themselves were nicknamed "Minutemen") that we are free of communist tyranny today. Oppression? Domination? No, my friend. Readiness. Unblinking, unwavering, determined readiness. God bless the men and women of this country's armed forces, active and veteran, living or fallen, who put their country and their fellow countrymen's lives ahead of their own to go in harm's way to defend, not only our freedom, but that of all who would remain so!
