I can't drive 55.
Earlier today I came across an interesting blog by Aaron Krowne, who I found over at DDF's blog. Aaron notes many different news stories ranging from economics to globalization. I intend to spend some more time on his site.
What jumped out at me most was a reference to an experiment undertaken by a guy named Andy Medlin and others to drive the speed limit on Atlanta's Interstate 285 ("285"). Four cars lined up spanning the four lanes and maintained a speed of no more than 55, in accordance with the applicable speed limit law on 285. As Andy points out, "hilarity ensues." Highlights are the shot from an overpass showing the line of traffic approaching. Luckily, no one was injured in the ordeal as a couple yahoos passed on the right shoulder - one of whom ends up doing a hit and run by clipping a stalled car's mirror.

Here they come!

It's not a perfect argument against speed limits, but it does make a point.
